I chose to attend Coastal Carolina University back in 2017 after a campus tour informed me of a unique program: Intelligence and National Security Studies. That program provided me a bedrock foundation for report building as we were required to communicate large quantities of information in a concise manner. Often times we were tasked with shortening 10 page papers in half, or presenting what could have easily been a ten minute presentation, in just three to five minutes. We did all of this while still communicating the vital information we had.

After my freshman year, I decided to add my second major: Economics. I did this for two reasons, to add business acumen to my curriculum and because I came into Coastal Carolina University with AP credits in both micro and macro economics. Adding this major certainly assisted in building business knowledge and provided me access to new resources such as Tableau. Tableau's capabilities are what led me to want to learn more about Microsoft's Power BI.

Adding this second major also encouraged me to seek out new opportunities and build lasting connections. It was shortly after adding this major that I connected with a professor and created a club centered on economics. I was responsible for building this club from the founding three members to over twenty by the time I graduated. The most notable trip we did in this club annually was attending Adam Smith Week at the University of Charleston. We would make a day trip to listen to their speakers and connect with the University of Charleston's Economics Club.

Upon graduating, I accepted a position with Loss Prevention Services as a compliance analyst. I have continued to learn and grow at Loss Prevention Services where I am currently serving as a business analyst.
